Testimonials

I am a Chamber Member because…

“I joined the Chamber in order to get to know other local business owners and leaders. It's been a great way to not only learn about their business but to get to know them personally via the numerous functions and outings hosted by the Chamber. So now I get to see familiar faces throughout our community and I have a resource to refer clients and friends for whatever needs may arise. Of course, that's a two way street so my legal practice has grown throughout the years in part due to friends and colleagues within the Chamber.”

– Matt Wade, W. Matthew Wade, PLLC

“Having only relocated to the area less than a year ago, being a member of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce helped me connect quickly with many local business leaders to understand their needs so I could create strategies to serve our community better, and faster.  Without the networking opportunities I have been blessed with through the Chamber, we would be several steps behind where we are today with our business plan.  If you are considering membership, I can tell you from my own personal experience that the return on our investment as an organization has more than paid for itself, and I strongly recommend joining this great group of leaders that are fully invested in the success of this community.”

– Aaron Garofola, CEO UofL Health – Shelbyville Hospital

Our agency switched from a traditional Anthem group plan to the Anthem Chamber Advantage.  Not only did our agency save money, we also improved our coverage.  Our deductibles, maximum out of pocket and copays are much less under the new plan.  Like other small business owners health care costs are large portion of our budget- this new plan helps ease this burden We would encourage all small businesses with 2-50 employees to obtain quotes through Anthem’s Chamber Advantage plan.

“I can’t imagine trying to grow and operate a business in Shelby county without having a  relationship with our local Chamber. From startup, to networking to opening doors to new friendships and relationships we have a Chamber that is always open for business and promoting Shelby county. Why would you not want to be involved?”

– Pat Hargadon, Agency Manager Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance

“I joined the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce for a number of reasons — among them networking, education, and referrals. I get tons of networking opportunities through the Chamber events, which means references and new customers. There are opportunities for business education, and potential clients can find me on the Chamber website. The annual Chamber Showcase is of particular interest because lots of people — attendees and the other exhibitors — get to learn about what exactly I do. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chamber has offered virtual programs to remain a valuable asset to my business. As a Chamber member, I have also cultivated a number of friendships I probably would not have otherwise.”
