The Commerce Enhancement Scholarship supports Shelby County students and adult learners who are pursuing post-secondary education and are interested in bringing their skills back to the local workforce. This program is a partnership of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, the Shelby County Industrial and Development Foundation, and Shelby County Associated Industries.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Be a graduating high school senior who resides in Shelby County or an eligible adult learner
- Be accepted to attend an accredited higher education institution
- Demonstrate an interest in working in Shelby County after completing post-secondary education
Scholarship Details
Scholarship awards are paid directly to the recipient’s accredited institution at the beginning of the first semester. Awards are non-renewable.
The number and amount of scholarships awarded each year depend on available funds.
